X210CrW12, 1.2436 - specifications and applications
High carbon tool chromium steel with the addition of tungsten with a higher carbon content than NC11. It is characterized by low ductility and brittleness, excellent abrasion resistance and very high hardness. It is mainly used for tools for punching, cutting and stamping metal sheets, as well as for the production of haulers, cutters, reamers, gauges, drawing dies and disc knives. The addition of tungsten improves the hardenability of the grade, which results in the possibility of higher hardness.
