1.4570, X6CrNiCuS18-9-2, AISI 303Cu – description

Copper-containing variant of chrome-nickel austenitic steel. Used in the chemical industry, in fuel processing and food processing plants for heat exchangers, coolers, tanks, vessels, pump elements, etc.

The alloying addition of copper increases resistance to corrosion in acidic and non-oxidized environments (sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid) and improves deformability. The alloy is not resistant to intergranular corrosion.

Welding does not require pre-heating.
