1.4948, X6CrNi18-10, AISI 304H - specification and application

Acid-resistant stainless steel with austenitic structure classified as heat-resistant and creep-resistant. AISI 304H and 1.4948 are used for temperatures up to 550 ℃. In contrast to the usual 304 and 304L grades, the chemical composition of 304H has been adapted to the working environment in terms of strength properties at high temperatures - resistance to creep, by adding REM. Steel 1.4948 and 304H are resistant to the same acids, alkali, salts and gases as ordinary stainless steel 0H18N9 and 1.4301.

Heat and plastic treatment
