Specifications and application
X2CrNi12 is a stainless steel with ferritic structure, which chemical composition from 0H13, X6Cr13, 1.4006, AISI 410S deviates from the original by a small addition of Nickel, and even more limited content of Carbon. Chromium at a concentration of approx. 12% allows users to use the material as a building material in non-aggressive environments, including decorative purpose.
Steel does not show resistance to acids, chlorides, salts or marine environments to such an advanced extent as austenitic steels. For applications as a corrosion-resistant material, coating of the material and proper surface treatment is required. The products can be used to produce components and decorative elements in the construction industry, or parts of vehicles in the communication and automotive industries.
Steel also found in the food, mining and sugar industries. .In addition, X2CrNi12 is easily weldable, has relatively good mechanical properties in annealed condition +A, at room and elevated temperatures.
