X22CrNi17, X23CrNi17, 1.2787 - specifications and applications
Martensitic stainless steel similar to steel grades 2H17N2, X17CrNi16-2, 1.4057, classified as a tool steel. Available most often after electro-slag remelting - ESR, for the glass industry to high temperature glass molds and tools. Other applications are pump parts, shafts, blow moulds for plastic production.
Mechanical properties
- Similar to 2H17N2, 1.4057, X17CrNi16-2.
Heat treatment processes:
- Softening annealing at 680 - 750℃
- Relief annealing at 600 - 650℃
- Hardening at 1020 - 1050℃ with cooling in oil
- Tempering at 100 - 500℃
