C15E, CK15, 1.1141, C15, gat. 15 - description

Common unalloyed steel for carburizing and hardening. A bit stronger than C10E and a bit weaker than C20E.

In carburized and quenched condition it is used for light-duty parts like pivots, axles, shafts, levers, pins, bolts, nuts.

In normalized condition it is used mainly for fasteners.
