Stal N10E, N10, C105W1, C105W2, 1.1545, 1.1645 - specifications and application
N10E and N10 are shallow- and deep-hardening toll steels with a low content of alloys, which differ in terms of the content of Phosphorus and Sulfur. N10 is a deep-hardening steel, and N10E is a shallow-hardening steel grade Due to the fairly limited availability, quality and popularity of the materials of this group, the most commonly used grade is N10E.
The deciding factor is lower sensitivity to impact, shock, and the purity of the steel. Other features of the N10/N10E grades are high hardness (HRC 62+), and resistance to abrasion. From the above-mentioned grades are made, among others, punches, machine knives, twist drills, files, reamers, taps, dies, milling cutters, shoemaker knives, chisels, cutting plates for cutting dies, lathe knives, circular knives, and cutting tools working at low speed.
