46SiCrMo6 is a silicon spring steel with the addition of chromium and molybdenum showing resistance to torsion, deformation and load, impact and abrasion. It is mainly used in the automotive and machine industry for springs, spring elements such as stabilizers, rods and leaf springs.

- The yield point, Re: > 1400 MPa
- Elongation, A:> 6%
- Contraction, Z: >35%
- Impact resistance, KV: > 10J
- Hardness in +S delivery condition: <280 HB
- Hardness in +A delivery condition: <248 HB
- Hardness in +AC delivery condition: <230 HB
Heat treatment of 46SiCrMo6, 1.8062:
- Hardening at 880 ℃ with cooling in water or oil
- Tempering at a tempering of 450℃
