14NiCrMo13-4, 1.6657, 12H2N4A - Nickel construction steel without molybdenum for aerospace carburization - characteristics

Steel for heat-chemical treatment - carburization is characterized by low hardness, high durability and malleability. The chemical composition contains increased content of nickel and chromium in relation to 15NiCr13 grade. Designed for sections with intermediate dimensions, exposed to large and variable loads and associated work stresses.

Used, among others, in aviation, in parts and components of internal combustion engines and aviation equipment. Thanks to its properties, it is also used for very important components of machines or vehicles - as steering shafts, adjusting screws, gears, rollers or axles.

14NiCrMo13-4 steel is its equivalent. It has similar values and chemical composition of 15NiCr13 steel, but it has a much greater range of Nickel in the chemical composition.
14NiCrMo13-4 steel should be welded before carburizing, and the product does not require pre-heating prior to the treatment.
